Referral Fee’s

Unlike our competitors, Thomas & Rawson do not charge any type of referral fee’s whatsoever. The trusted professionals that we use, such as plumbers, electricians or solicitors (for conveyancing), are selected due to their high standards and value for money. Our clients are free to use tradesmen of their own choosing, if that is what they wish.

Meet The Team

As mentioned on our Home page, Thomas & Rawson is owned and managed by myself, Peter Baczala and I have had 35 years of experience selling and letting properties in Poole and Bournemouth conurbation. Two of our key members of staff are, Tonie and Barbara, our Property Coordinators who have a combined service with us at Thomas & Rawson of over 20 years.

Peter Baczala MNAEA MARLA Founder/Director/Manager

I was born in Oxford in 1967 and our family moved to Bournemouth in 1976, where I attended school locally. On leaving school in 1984 I went straight into Estate Agency, as a trainee. After several years and following several promotions up to branch Manager. I decided in 1989 to branch out on my own and set up Tomas & Rawson Ltd. That was over 31 years ago and I’m still as keen and motivated today to deliver a great service to our clients, as I was back on my first day! Over the years I have experienced all sorts of markets, economies and changing property and financial laws and regulations. Helping clients to understand and navigate the everchanging property market (be it Sales or Rental) and taking the stress away from them, is core to the great service that we at Thomas & Rawson provide. I work very hard to ensure our customers have a Client-Agent experience, that is second to none. This is reflected by the trust and loyalty that my values of, integrity and commitment to professional standards, has engendered amongst our customers/clients, many of whom have been with us for decades.

Barbara Bak Property Coordinator

Barbara was born in Poland and moved to the UK in her younger years. She has been a member of the team for more than 10 years. Barbara is very committed, experienced and professional. Along with Peter, one of Barbara’s key roles is ensuring the sourcing and vetting of prospective tenants, for our landlords. The importance and value of this area of our service cannot be overstated. Barbara’s eye for detail and experience in this area, ensures that we carry out appropriate due diligence and checks on all prospective tenants. Barbara coordinates the ongoing relationship with our tenants and is bilingual (Polish/English). She also handles property marketing, co ordinating the property portals and looking after the property management side of the business.

Tonie Crisante Property Coordinator

Tonie was born in the New Forest and moved to Bournemouth in her early 20’s. She has worked with us at Thomas & Rawson for 11 years now. Not only does Tonie have great administrative and organisational skills, but she also has an in-depth interest and understanding of the commercial aspects and processes involved in the letting of property. Over the years and through her keen interest in all thing’s property related, Tonie has accumulated a great deal of experience of different aspects of the property market. Tonie as both a professional working in the industry and as a long-standing landlord herself, brings a unique perspective and knowledge, to helping the team support our customers and clients.
